Timber Buying & Harvesting
What Sets Us Apart
Unlike other logging companies and timber buyers, we stand out by paying in full before the first tree is touched. When the agreement is signed, we provide a down payment.
Then, before any on-site work begins, we ensure the landowner receives the remaining amount. This way, you can have complete peace of mind knowing you’re fully compensated before the harvest even starts.

Types of Harvesting
At Northern MI Forestry, we offer various types of harvesting to suit your needs: clear-cutting, thinning, and selective harvesting.
Whether you want to clear an entire section, selectively remove a percentage of timber, or hand-cut specific trees, our methods are designed to balance your goals with the health and sustainability of the forest.
Clearcutting
Removing all trees on a section of property. This is efficient for timber harvesting but can have significant environmental impacts.
Thinning
Selectively removing a certain percentage of trees, leaving some timber to harvest at a later date.
Selective Harvesting
Removing specific trees based on criteria like size, species, or health, while leaving the rest of the forest intact.

8 Ft Firewood Logs for Sale
Some of the timber we harvest is not high quality enough for saw mills to utilize, so we sell 8 foot long logs for anyone who sells firewood or would like to cut down for their own firewood use.
